Anita Belle Johnson Hedden

Anita Belle Johnson Hedden was born on September 12, 1940 in Pocatello Idaho and died February 14, 2020 age 79 in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by her family and life long friends. Anita is survived by her husband Alvin George Hedden, of 63 years. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple and she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for her entire life.

Anita is survived by her brothers David Johnson, William (Bill), & Steven Johnson. Alvin and Anita have five sons and one daughter, Victor (Shelli), Roger, Rex (Doris), Ross (Guen), Roy (Laurie) & Janene (Robert). Anita had 27 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Dorcel and Sarah (Barkdull) Johnson. Siblings: Conard, Larry, Dale Johnson and her older sister Peggy (Christensen). Also preceded in death by Daughter in Law Lisa Hedden & Grandaughter McKell Hedden.

Anita had a beautiful voice and loved to sing for everyone. She often sang with the choir and performed solos in her Ward. She loved all sorts of musical productions and movies. Her passions were reading, sewing, crocheting, collecting dolls, tea sets and snow globes. Anita was skilled in creating ceramics for her family members. One of her most favorite things to do was to travel with her family and friends especially to the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. She especially loved going to the Pacific Coast Ocean where she collected seashells and driftwood. Anita especially loved spending time with her family. She was interested in every child, grandchild and great grandchild.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Friday March 6 th 2020 at 11 am at the Union Fort Second Ward Building for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 6770 S. 500 E. Midvale UT 84047.

The family would like to thank the Union Fort Second Ward for hosting the funeral. Also thank you to the Broadway Ward in Tooele Utah for their Ministering efforts in meeting Anita’s needs while residing there.
