Arthur John Jones

Arthur John Jones Jr, 61, of South Salt Lake City, Utah, was called home unexpectedly on Tuesday February 16, 2021. He was born March 8, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Donna Anderson and Arthur Jones Sr. John was the seventh of nine children. He was raised in Kearns, Utah, where he attended and graduated from Kearns High School. After graduating John joined the US Army where he later received an honorable discharge.

John married Sherry but, later divorced. The marriage produced his 2 boys, Bobbi, and Corey. John loved his boys and would do anything for them.

John worked as a delivery driver for most of his life around the Salt Lake area, including Larry H Miller Mopar where he was a parts delivery driver for many years where he cultivated many lifelong friendships with coworkers and customers. He loved the work he did.

John was always an adventurous type, whether it be living in Utah or Wyoming. John loved the outdoors, he loved to fly fish, take boat rides, even just sit out in the yard after a long day at work and enjoy the sounds of nature. He also enjoyed talking and spending time with his family and friends. John also enjoyed watching his favorite TV show All in the family, and his favorite comedians Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock and Juan Villareal.

John is survived by his ex-wife Sherry, sons Bobbi and Corey. John is also survived by his siblings, Linda (David), Grayce (Eric), Donna Jean (Dave), Ramona (Doug) and Robert (Teresa), his 3 best friends in the whole world Leslie, Scott and Dan along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. John is preceded in death by both parents, stepmother Delores, grandparents, brother Gene (Kathy), sisters Doris, and Judy, brother-in-law George along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

As per the family’s request, there will be a small family ceremony celebrating his life. John will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are greatly appreciated to help cover John’s final cost.
