Benjamin Aaron Payne
Benjamin Aaron Payne
Our beloved Ben Payne, born January 15, 1978, finished the good fight in this life unexpectedly on August 12, 2020 in Provo, Utah. In his own words, Ben summed up who he was, “God, Jesus Christ is my Savior, my family comes first always, my girls are my future. Love is all.” There are few people that had a heart as big and caring as Ben. He was quick to help those in need and sought to lift others that were down or struggling. Ben always had a curious mind and loved learning how things work. Ben liked to fix things and was exceptionally good at it. He was skilled with tools, which he loved using to build and create. Of his accomplishments and creations, Ben’s daughters were his most cherished. Ben loved his girls with all of his gigantic heart and always desired the best for them. His soul ached whenever he could not be with them. He strived to help them feel loved and make memories with family. Ben was a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews, and they loved spending time with him.
Ben was fun loving and enjoyed spending time with family outdoors and playing sports. His laugh and wonder at small and simple things he loved was contagious. Ben loved the gospel and his Savior and always strived to be better. He understood the eternal nature of love and the atonement. He loved to share the message of the Atonement and knowledge of the Savior with anyone he met. Ben truly sought to mourn with those who mourn and succor those in need of succor as his Savior did. His passing leaves a great emptiness in our hearts, but his tenderness and love will maintain us until that great day of reunion when we shall see him again.
Ben is survived by his daughters Iris and Lylah Payne, parents John Rulon Payne and Edith Eilene Castle, siblings Andrea (Kyle), Joshua (Adrienne), Jonny (Sarah), Racquel (Josh), Katelyn (Peter), and Morgan (Alyssa), and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Mojave Chapel at 3050 North Mojave Lane, Provo, Utah 84604 at 11:00 AM.
The family is grateful to many extended family, neighbors, friends, and acquaintances who have provided shoulders to cry on, arms to uplift, food, love, time, thoughts, and prayers.
