Utah resident Bruce B. Demond, 71, died September 5, 2018, at his residence in Salt Lake City, Utah.
At his request no service will be held.
Bruce was born in New Haven, Connecticut, February 1, 1947, to Frederick Russell and Alice Mae Phelps Demond.
Bruce loved his childhood growing up in New Haven, CT. He loved working at the Branford library while he was in high school. He loved playing tennis, gardening, running, hiking, watching tv and most of all riding his bicycle.
Bruce attended the University of Utah and later worked for the Salt Lake County Fire Department as a paramedic and firefighter. After retiring he worked for the University of Utah for the bicycle patrol and then driving the university shuttle.
Bruce is survived by his son, Damon M. Demond, GA; grandson, Aiden Demond; daughter, Samantha A. Demond, NY; granddaughter, Madeline A. Grucella, NC; granddaughter, Emily L. Grucella, WA; and grandson, Max A. Grucella, WA.
