Born on August 8th, 1948, Dave Cook passed a few days before his 69th birthday on August 6th, 2017, after a long battle with lung disease due to smoking and second-hand smoke.

We've lost a sensitive soul and will miss the entertainment Dave always provided. He could make anyone laugh with his creative personality and gift for mimicry. Dave had special needs and often times was unable to fully take off in life, but this did not stop him from enjoying the simple pleasures, like fishing or making music on his keyboard. His renditions of Hollywood favorites would split a gut in laughter. We're grateful for the kind staff at Woodland where Dave lived out the remainder of his life. He had a lot of friends there. We're also grateful for Dave's lifelong friend, Jim.

Dave was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ross and Mary Cook, and nephew Nicholas Kennedy. He is survived by brothers Don and Barry, and sisters Ann and Caiti.

A private gathering will be held in Dave's honor.
