Donna Lu (Brady) Adams

Donna Lu (Brady) Adams

Feb 26, 1935 - Dec 2, 2019

Donna was born in Ogden, Utah on February 26, 1935 to Elvas Lionel Brady and Hazelle Kay Dawson Knowles. She married William Clayton Young in Elko, Nevada and was later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. She was blessed with 6 beautiful children; William Clayton (Le Ann) Young III, Daneis Marie Lee, Dewey C Brady Young, Cindie Lee (Scott) Torrey, Rockland Douglas (Sabrina) Young, and Teresa De’one (Floyd) Perry. She later married William (Bill) James Adams Jr PhD. in Salt Lake City, Utah and was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. She is survived by her husband Bill, her siblings Lionel, Gerrie, Larry, Robert, Mike, Patty, and Teri. Her love extended to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a stalwart member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her strong faith and love for the Savior was the greatest gift she gave to her posterity. How grateful we are for her faith and frequent declarations of her testimony to her family through her words and actions. She faithfully served within the Lord’s church in various positions including a temple mission in Manila, Philippines.

We will miss her infectious smile and laugh, youthful exuberance, energy, playfulness, and strength. After her children were grown, Donna went back to school and finished her Associates of Applied Science in Nuclear Physics Technology. She worked as a Health Physics Technician at many Nuclear Power Plants across the United States. Donna’s career was a pivotal shift in hers and her family’s lives.

Donna spent the last few months of her life under the special care of skilled nurses and angel staff members at The Lodge at Riverton. We wish to express our admiration and appreciation to the home’s caregivers and residents.
