F. Michael “Mike” DeDen went to be with the Lord the morning of June 7, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Survived by wife Patti of 33 years, daughters Christine and Amber, father Fred, and sister Debbie. Mike was preceded in death by mother Martha.

Mike was born and raised in Southern California and has made Utah his home since 1988. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Saint John Bosco High School. Mike received a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and a Master’s degree from Oregon State University. Go Beavs!

Mike was a hydrogeologist for 35 years with MWH/Stantec, where he served as Vice President, Mining. He was a mentor and leader to many people he worked with over the years, Mike enjoyed traveling with his family and spending time outdoors camping, fishing, hiking, golfing, and at the beach.

Mike will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and coworkers.

Mike was a fighter and battled ALS to the end.

To honor Mike’s request there will be no funeral service.

A celebration to honor Mike’s life will be held later this summer.
