Francisco B. Naranjo-Garcia

Francisco B. Naranjo-Garcia, known to his family and friends as “Paco”, passed away on October 16, 2019 at 30 years old; after battling thyroid cancer.

Paco was born March 26, 1989 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to his loving parents Francisco Naranjo and Ana Garcia. The oldest of five siblings who he loved deeply, he grew to be protective and nurturing. After graduating high school, Paco would balance his time between his love of learning, teaching and volunteering as a Tae-Kwon-Do instructor; creating an impact on every person that he reached.

With an infectious, dimpled, and easy smile, always quick with a joke, and never taking himself too seriously, Paco was a child at heart; who let his generosity and compassion for others always show. He could be seen venturing through the city on bike, among the audience of a performing orchestra, or documenting his thoughts into poems. Paco had a running theme of all things orange, and extensively collected Nintendo games, consoles, memorabilia, and Yu-Gi-Oh & Pokemon cards. Paco’s expressive eyes, warm laughter, and company will be missed by his friends, students, and most of all his family.

Paco is survived by his parents, Francisco Naranjo and Ana Garcia; his brothers and sister: Victor, Leo, Anna C., and Valentin.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church (3560 W 3650 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84119) at 7PM.
