Henry Asashi Yamada

It is with great sadness that the family of Henry Asashi Yamada, Sr announces his passing after battling a rare autoimmune disease on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the young age of 38. Henry Asashi was born on July 23, 1983 to Henry T. Yamada and Carmen Rosa-Rivera. He was raised all over the world due to being an Army Brat.

Henry Asashi was an amazing artist. He enjoyed conceptual art and bringing other people’s ideas to life. He wouldn’t stop unless it was exactly what was wanted. He also loved to play video games, especially games from the Legend of Zelda franchise. Henry Asashi was a tender, loving soul and never had anything bad to say about anyone. He always used to say that this world would be a better place if we all stopped fighting and were able to talk and listen to one another.

Henry Asashi is survived by his fiancé, Alyssa Moncada, sons Damien and Henry Asashi, Jr., daughter Aiyana, parents Henry T. Yamada and Carmen Rosa-Rivera, brothers H. Takashi (Yamaira) and Keith Lee, nieces Iva and Coralani, friends Tia, Austin, Remi, and of course his brother from another mother Timber, as well as many other family and friends that he met while adventuring along during his life quests.

A celebration of Henry Asashi’s life will be held at 5pm on Friday, January 7, at 2915 W. 4425 S. Roy, UT. 84067. Please bring stories that you may have so we can share in his memory and laugh at the goofiness that he provided to all our lives.
