It is with sadness that the children of James Michael Sawka announce the passing of their father on Saturday September 1st, 2018.  Jim was 74 years old (born 2/8/1944) and had struggled with health issues (lung cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, & prostate cancer) for a number of years.  He was an Air Force veteran, serving in Germany in the early 60’s.  We are thankful for all that the VA hospital did to help him through these challenges. He spent the last few months on a ventilator, which limited his activity, but allowed some extra time with his family which we were grateful for.

Jim was survived by his brother Joe Rehm (his wife Donna, children Eric Rehm & Stephanie (Christopher) Eibl, his sons James J (his wife Sheila, children Jesse Girot, Ashley (Ross) Barton, Melissa Girot, Sierra Latimer, Zachary Sawka, Terrah Sawka, Samantha Latimer, John Sawka, Nathaniel Latimer, Benjamin Latimer), Michael T (his wife Malissa, children Codey, Hayli, Chandler, Ivy, Claire), and Christopher T (children Evelyn ?, Brittany, Zachary, Christopher).

Services were held on September 6th for family and friends at Kramer Family Funeral Home.
