Joe Jesus Rojas

Joe Jesus Rojas

Joe Jesus Rojas, 37, died August 4, 2018 at his home in Ogden, Utah.

Joe was born February 9, 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joan and Joe Rojas.

Joe was always a friend to everyone he met.  He would step up to the plate to help in any way he could any time someone was in need.  Whether it was something as small as raking leaves or a larger project like constructing a shed, he was always first in line to help.  Joe was a very skilled craftsman and loved building and repairing things.  From constructing items made of wood to repairing the electronics on a computer or video game, he could do it all.  His favorite job in his life was working with Lew Composites in Las Vegas where they built items from scratch for such things as race cars.  That job ended with the devastation of September 11th.  After that, Joe moved to Utah to be closer to his family.  Joe spent the last nine years of his life living with and helping to care for his mother.

Joe is survived by his mother, Joan Borkgren; his father, Joe Rojas; his daughter and her brother Mercades and Mason Adams, and their mother, Brigette Adams;  his girlfriend Brooke Reed;  his stepdad, Lester Forney; his brothers Mack Hullum and Randall (Andria) Bergstrom; his sisters Julia (Tony) Adams, Jean (Quentin) Headley, Leah Johnson, and Yvette Rojas; 4 Uncles, 2 Aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Swayzie Reed; his stepdad Roger Borkgren; his grandma Simona and grandpa Dedaico Valdez; and his uncles Phillip Rivera, Clifford Yokum, Richard Valdez, and David Horbelt.

There will be a viewing for Joe on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at noon, followed by funeral services at  1:00 pm at the LDS chapel located at 3270 Orchard Avenue, Ogden, Utah
