Kathleen Ann Pelletier

Kathleen Ann Pelletier, 66, returned to her Heavenly Father on September 29, 2019 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT after a long battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. She was born on November 9th, 1952 in Hartford, Connecticut to Robert C. Petersen and Patricia Barile Petersen.  She settled in the Salt Lake County area in 1983 where she graduated from Phoenix University and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Accounting. She worked for Intel Inc. as a payroll tax accountant which she enjoyed immensely. She always took pride in her work and loved the challenge of working with numbers. She also was partners with her daughter Danielle at Whimsical Wood Designs.

Kathy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and lead the Young Women’s Group in her ward for many years.  She enjoyed teaching the girls about life skills, leadership and the importance of their Mormon faith. She had a passion to help others and she carried this throughout her life by having a “Pay It Forward” attitude.  She enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy, traveling, crocheting, cross-stitch, cooking, music and anything crafty and handmade.

Kathy is survived by her husband Larry Paul Pelletier of Mesquite Nevada, and her son Christian Andrew Pelletier. She is also survived by her sister, Robin Peterson and her husband Dan Peterson of Pennsylvania, and a brother, Robert C Petersen of Connecticut, two nieces, Alyssa M. Lehr and Kristen M. Richardson both of Pennsylvania

She was preceded in death by her parents Patricia Petersen Skruta, Robert C. Petersen, her beloved daughter Danielle Robin Pelletier and her younger brother Thomas Andrew Petersen.

The family would like to give special appreciation to Jim and Glenna Sweat for their friendship, love, generosity and support for the entire Pelletier family. They have been instrumental in the care of Kathy. We would also like to thank the staff and nurses at the Respiratory ICU at Intermountain Medical Center who took such good care of Kathy while she was there. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. C. Gregory Elliott and his staff for their care of Kathy. Because of Dr. Elliot’s expertise in PAH and the research he has done over the years, we were able to love Kathy for an extra twenty-five years.

Kathy’s family would also like to express a huge thank you for the outpouring of love and prayers for Kathy from friends and extended family members. The comments everyone left on Facebook for Kathy and our family have given us comfort during this time of grieving. We want you to know we miss her so much. Our hearts are broken right now. Our only solace during this time is the belief that she is with her beloved family, flying with the angels watching over us all.

Funeral services for Kathy will be private at her and Larry’s wishes. If you would like to make a memorial donation on Kathy’s behalf, please feel free to donate to your favorite charity or organization. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

We would ask that you continue to remember Kathy by loving someone in your life wholly and “Paying it Forward” to someone in need whether it be monetarily or by your service.
