Katrina Robertson

Katrina Yvonne Robertson, 25, passed away on August 17, 2017 after a courageous and valiant battle with drug addiction.

Katrina was born May 21, 1992 to Richard Robertson and Corrie (Everett) Goodrich.

She is survived by her loving parents, Everett and Corrie Goodrich, her big brother, Kevin (BoBo) Robertson, younger siblings, Carissa Robertson, Merek Goodrich, Jesan Pusey, Mason Goodrich, Megan Pettino, and Matthew Goodrich; her Grandparents, Ronald and Deon Grimes, William and Shelly Robertson, and Colleen Curtiss, and her Great-Grandmother, Marva Wood. She will be missed dearly, as well, by too many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to freaking list.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Richard Robertson, uncle Robert Pusey, aunt Brenda Pusey and far, far too many friends.

When Katrina was young, she loved to dance. She formed a deep love and appreciation for music at a very early age and always sought out lyrics to uplift her.  Poetry became her passion; the platform she used to express herself. Some of her work she shared; a lot she kept to herself.
She had a great love for animals. She dreamed of becoming a vet, but later decided her heart could not see animals suffer all the time.

As with animals, Katrina loved people. She was compassionate and caring. She touched so, so many more lives than she realized. She did her best to help anyone she could. Even while in her own fiery pit of hell, she frantically searched for others; just as lost as she, and helped them before herself. She had a deeper concern for others than most. Katrina wore her heart on her sleeve. She wanted more than anything to stay clean and to work with others in recovery.

Katrina loved her family deeply. She had a unique, strong bond with her older brother, Kevin, whom she lovingly called, "BoBo." Additionally, she fell in love instantly with her second Dad, Everett. She referred to her Mom as "momma bear" and loved to make her proud.

Your fight is over, precious one. Fly with the angels.

If you are suffering from addiction and/or mental health illness, please reach out for help. No parent should have to bury their child.
