Kristine Olsen Hill “Kris”

Kristine Olsen Hill “Kris” was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and lover of animals.

She left this world suddenly of natural causes on June 15, 2022.

She was born on October 19, 1951, in Spanish Fork, Utah. She adored, and was adored by her parents Fern and Farrell Olson, and her big sister Kathy. Kris attended Spanish Fork High School and Salt Lake Community College. She spent her working years at Tracy Collins, Evans and Sutherland, and Hoyt. Kris and her husband Kent Droesbeke enjoyed their retirement - travelling in their RV, boating at Lake Powell and Flaming Gorge, and off-roading in their Razor, until Kent’s untimely death in 2019.

Kris was a skilled quilter, enjoyed crocheting, and volunteered at animal shelters. She loved listening to music and attending concerts. Kris’ favorite holiday was Halloween and held famous parties that included great food and pumpkin carving contests. Speaking of food – her friends and family enjoyed her pecan brittle, cheesecake, and homemade salsa (which was in truth Kent’s recipe).

Kristine is survived by her three children, Jon Hoffman, Eric Hill, and Jessica Hill, many grandchildren, her sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Ed Bradford, former spouse Michael Hoffman, former spouse Steven Hill, and her four-legged companion Jackie.

Her family and friends will miss her yet know that she wouldn’t want us to dwell on sadness felt by her passing. Instead, she would want us to celebrate her life and honor her with happy memories. Please join us for an informal gathering of family and friends to share stories, memories, laughter and tears.

Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm at Kramer Family Funeral Home located at 2500 S Decker Lake Blvd, Suite 1, West Valley City, UT.

Written memories and stories of Kris are encouraged for inclusion in a memory book for the family.
