Maria Ann Seewer

Maria Ann Seewer passed away unexpectedly the morning of October 18, 2021 at age 55. She was born on August 24, 1966 to Richard James Seewer and Janet Lee Dawson.

Maria was a strong willed and very courageous person. Her strength to carry on no matter what life threw at her was and still is very inspirational. She had been through so much in her life. Maria’s tenacity in life taught us how to keep on going and on how to put one foot in front of the other whilst experiencing great adversity. Her courage to move forward no matter the obstacles is very motivational.

Maria loved all things outdoors. She loved to picnic in the beautiful wilderness of Utah. She loved to hike, especially when her grandkids were involved. She enjoyed motorcycle rides. She absolutely loved camping in remote locations only accessible by an off-road vehicle. She also greatly enjoyed Jeeping. She would attend the Moab Easter Jeep Safari yearly and go on many more separate jeeping adventures as well throughout the year. She passed her love of the outdoors to her family. It didn’t matter really what she was doing in the outdoors as long as it was with her family. Maria’s many outdoor adventures throughout her life show how much of a free wild spirit she truly was. Some of her favorite places to travel and visit were Moab, West Desert, the Uinta/Wasatch Mountains, and the Oregon Coastal region. She loved traveling to these places several times a year. She would joke constantly about just uprooting and going to live by the ocean and become a beach bum. Maria’s love of the natural beauty of this earth was very contagious. One cannot help but love her beautiful wide smile from ear to ear while she enjoyed many adventures in the outdoors.

Maria also loved to paint, craft, and play the violin. Maria would paint phenomenal ceramic pieces. She had such a passion and gift in painting. She always had a love for the arts. She pushed herself to try new things in painting and crafting. It is so amazing how she could develop many pieces of wonderful artwork and craftwork with ease. Painting, crafting, and playing the violin brought much calm and peace to Maria. She found all these things to be very therapeutic. She was truly an amazing artist.

The most important thing to Maria was her family. She lived for her family in everything she did. Her unconditional love to her family will never be forgotten. Her selflessness in everything she did for her family is inspiring. Maria absolutely loved very deeply. She very much loved her girls, her grandkids, and her huskies. No matter where she went or who she spoke with, she always brought her girls, her grandkids, and her huskies into conversations. She was very proud of the family she made. Maria’s laugh was infectious and she often had some type of joke or quick remark on hand. She looked forward to spending time with her family. She was very close to her grandma, mom, daughters, grandkids, and huskies. Maria’s bond and her love will never be forgotten.

Maria has left a huge hole in our hearts with her passing. She was our world. She will be missed very much. “We love you infinity times infinity, Mom! We appreciate everything you have done for our family! We are grateful that we will be able to reunite with you someday! Thank you for being you, Mom! Love, your girls.”
