With great sadness, the family of Michael Syrett announces his passing on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the age of 69 years. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his sons Jon (Heather) and Aaron (Renae). Mike will also be remembered by his six grandchildren, Forrest, Chandler, Dylan, Caleb, Avery, and Presley, his brother Christopher and sister-in-law Christine. Mike was predeceased by his mother Dorothy, father Shep, brother Robert, and sister Deborah.

Before serving in the United States Army during the conflict in Vietnam, he loved playing lead guitar with his rock band. For many years he ran one of Salt Lake's favorite restaurants Francesco's. Not only was he handsome, charismatic, and friendly, he was known for his great sense of humor. He made those he met feel special with his unconditional kindness. He enjoyed the outdoors and took great pride in decorating for the holidays. Everyone who crossed his path loved him. He will be missed.
