Ronald Dwayne Cardwell

Ronald Dwayne Cardwell, age 74, passed away on August 22, 2016 from a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.  

Ronald was born to Robert and Oriole Cardwell in Portland, Oregon. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the Teamster Union. Ronald was a long haul truck driver, and loved fishing, camping, and country music, especially “Charlie Daniels.”

 

Ronald is survived by his wife Sandra Lea Newman Cardwell, children Janell Cook, Jeffrey Cardwell (Terri), Robert Cardwell (Cariann), Barbara Poll (John Benjamin), siblings John Behrend Jr. of South Korea, Rich Behrend of Missouri, Janice Dunten of Orgeon, David Behrend of Oregon, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

Ronald was preceeded in death by his parents.

 

A memorial service for Ronald will be held on September 3, 2016 from 12PM to 5PM at 4078 South 6865 West in West Valley City, UT 84128.

 

The Cardwell Family would like to thank First Choice Hospice, Bill Jorgenson, and all others at First Choice for their compassion and care of Ronald.

 

In lieu of flowers, the Cardwell Family requests donations be made to the Utah Parkinson’s Foundation in Ronald Cardwell’s name.
