Tommy Booms Jr.

Somehow the world seems smaller without it having such a great man in it. Tommy Booms Jr. passed away on May 25th, 2019 at the age of 58 years.

Tommy will be remembered for his colorful sense of humor, and infectious smile. Tommy was also caring, and generous with the people in his life, always willing to lend a hand (though it would also come with some good-natured chop busting).

A talented soccer player in his younger days, Tommy could often be seen passionately cheering in the stands for his favorite team, Real Salt Lake. Tommy loved the outdoors, and spent much of his time golfing, hunting, hiking, and four-wheeling.  Many of his friends will also remember good times with “Twiggy” playing darts, or out on the softball field. Tommy also had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs and horses.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carrie (nee’ Eisiminger); his mother, LuThera; and his sons, Riley (Erica) and Bill. He is preceded by his father, Tom Sr.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held Saturday, June 15, at 6:00 PM at Main Street Park in Sandy, Utah (70E 8760 S). We will be sharing our favorite stories and memories about Tommy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Utah Friends of Basset Hounds, or any other organization which supports the welfare of animals.
