On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, Lawrence (Larry) Lynne Stocking, husband, father, grand father, great grandfather and brother, passed away at the age of 78. Larry will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Barbara (Bobby) Richards Stocking and their 8 children, Kelly, Kim Lee (Rodger), Wade (Margaret), Jaylyn, Rex (Erin), Scott (Beth), Stacy, Kari Shaw (Robert), brother Sherl (Deb Hunt) and parents P. Dean and Iola Linford Stocking who proceeded him in death. He had 18 grand children and 6 great grand children who will miss him dearly.

Larry was born in View, Idaho on November 11th, 1939. He grew up in the Boise, Idaho area and met his life long sweetheart when he was a teenager. They were married in the Idaho Fall Temple on June 28th, 1962 and were married for 56 years. He served a mission in the West Central states. He had a cosmology license, was a commercial bank teller and proudly served on the Salt Lake City Police department for 23 1/2 years. When he retired from the police department he went back to school and obtained an additional degree in accounting. He used that degree to obtain a job as a auditor at the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). He retired after 16 years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14398 South 6400 West, Herriman, UT.
