Most Funeral Homes Do Not Have a Crematory.
We are one of the few funeral homes that own and operate our own private crematory. Located inside of our clean and secure Salt Lake City location, the crematory is operated for the exclusive use of the families we serve. All cremations are performed individually with exacting technical standards. As such, we can provide you with 100% confidence as to whose cremated remains are in the urn.
Because most other Funeral Homes do not have a crematory they send your loved one to a 3rd party for cremation.
Kramer Family's 10 Point Cremation Guarantee
1. We own the crematory
Other funeral homes transfer your loved one to outside crematories, thus making it impossible for the funeral home to direct and supervise the cremation process. Our crematory is on-site, so your loved one never leaves our care during the cremation. Unlike other funeral homes, you can be sure the cremated remains returned to you are those of your loved one.
2. Safeguarding personal identity
To ensure accuracy, a personal identification band is placed with your loved one the moment your loved one is transferred to our funeral home and cremation center.
3. Secure tracking system
Upon arrival, your loved one receives a unique identification number. This number is used to track every phase of the cremation process. Personal belongings are placed in a secure area for safekeeping until they are returned to the family.
4. Family identification
Viewing or seeing your loved one is an additional charge.
5. Safeguarding personal identity
All cremation paperwork and permits are reviewed by our staff to ensure authorizations and permits have been received and properly documented.
6. Cremation record
Immediately prior to the cremation process, your loved one is taken to our private crematory and their personal identification is noted in our cremation log records.
7. Details during the cremation
A cremation authorization signed by the next of kin, a state issued cremation permit, and a metal identification tag are placed on the crematory during the cremation process.
8. Details after the cremation
After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains are placed with the metal identification tag into an urn. The authorizations are placed in our permanent files.
9. Return of the cremated remains
Our staff will notify you to schedule a time for receipt of the cremated remains.
10. Celebration of life
Our staff is specially trained to conduct Life Celebration Services, and will assist in planning a funeral or memorial service, either before or after cremation. A meaningful ceremony provides an opportunity for family and friends to pay tribute and share the memories of a lifetime.

Transportation of your loved one to our Funeral Home.
Cremation performed at the Kramer Family Cremation Center, located on-site. (Most funeral homes don't have a crematory, and have to pay a 3rd party).
Kramer Family's professional staff to file death certificates.
Kramer staff notifies Social Security.
Easy in person or online arrangements.
Additional Expenses:
Urns start from $69 (Basic white plastic urn). Decorative urns such as brass, wood, or precious stone are also available at the Kramer Family merchandise room.
The State of Utah requires a cremation permit. The Kramer Mortuary staff will file the permit. The state charges $157 for the permit.
Kramer staff will file death certificates on your behalf. The state charges $30 for the first copy, and $10 for each additional copy.
