Billy D. Searle

Billy D. Searle, 64, of Salt Lake City, passed away suddenly on May 26, 2021 at his home.

Billy was born in Murray Utah on December 16, 1956 to Calla Rae Loveless and Floyd Searle.  He was a beloved son, father, brother and friend.  Billy served our country in the Army Reserves for a short period of time during the 80’s.

He loved the outdoors, especially boating up at Strawberry Reservoir where he usually was every weekend, every summer. He would always take his son’s camping and fishing when they were young.  Billy raised his children as a single father for the last 25 years and worked hard to provide for them while they were growing up.  He recently retired from Blast Products where he worked for over 25 years.

Billy was a huge Utes and Jazz fan, it was a rare occasion that he ever missed a game.  He loved his old western movies especially ones with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood in them.  His favorite meal was a steak and potatoes which he would always have a “shot of milk” with.

Billy is survived in death by his children: Justin Searle, Jason (Aly) Searle & Jared Searle; his grandchild: Brayden Searle; his mother: Calla Rae Loveless; his siblings: Jeff (Martha) Searle & Kellie (Earl) Wangelin.  He is preceded in death by his son Shaun Searle and his father: Floyd Searle.

There will be a celebration of life held at the home of Jason and Aly Searle on Saturday June 12th.  Upon his passing Billy would request “Don’t shed any tears, just have a couple of beers.”
