Barbara Sue (McElroy) Cabe

Life will never be the same for the family of Barbara Sue (McElroy) Cabe. We lost our feisty, red headed mama bear on May 24, 2022. She left this world the way she lived her life, on her own terms.

Born Barbara Sue McElroy, on October 3, 1942, to Simp and Gussie Mae McElroy, baby sister to Maxie and Emma Jane.

Sue met her husband of almost 62 years, Larry Cabe in January 1959 when she walked into his geometry class and knocked his socks off. They were married in 1960 and had 3 children, Mike (Patti) Donna (perpetually single) and Latrice (Trent). Six Grandchildren: Trevor, Tanner, Mysti (Russ), Jason (Amy), Autumn and Gabe, along with four great grandchildren: Jeramy, Ryder, Xander and Wyatt.

Just shy of her 80th birthday, Sue was one tough lady, outliving every life expectancy prediction during her decades of living with heart failure. She left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
