Carl Franklin Allen
1931 – 2018
Carl passed away at home on June 2, 2018 with family at his side. He was born March 11, 1931 in Salt Lake City to Clifford Franklin Allen and Iris Rasmussen Allen. He is survived by sisters Joan and Connie and a brother Terry. Preceded in death by brother Lynn Allen and infant brother William. He married Mary Jean Benson in 1952. She passed seven months ago. They leave behind seven children, numerous grandchildren, great-grand-children and their spouses and companions. Carl was a veteran of the Korean War. He spent most of his adult life working with family at the Salt Lake Costume Company. He was active in Sugarhouse planning and served as Vice-President of the Sugarhouse Chamber of Commerce in the 1980’s. There will be a viewing at Kramer Mortuary, 2500 South Decker Lake Blvd, in West Valley, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, June 8th The family thanks the VA Home Health caregivers that kindly assisted Carl.
