Carol Ann McCarthy, passed away on October 12, 2018, at the age of 75 years old. She was the wife of Townsend “Lee” McCarthy. They shared 14 years of marriage together.
Born in Dover, Delaware, she was the daughter of Charles and Mildred Simmons.
Carol was a remarkable nurse, and her caring and compassionate heart shined through to the very end of her existence. Her bright eyes and adorable smile could lift anyone’s spirit. She also had a great affection for animals and spent many hours volunteering at the Humane Society of Utah. In addition, Carol was an avid reader and could get lost in a novel for countless hours.
She is survived by her husband, Townsend McCarthy, children Amy Houskeeper, Karen (Scott) Houskeeper, Jonathan Houskeeper, Deidre (Chris) Brown, Dawn (Michael) Miera, Tammy (Wade) Reed, Zachary (Stephanie) Houskeeper, Brittany (Scott) Rudd, 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by Bud Houskeeper, Bruce Redfield, her parents - Charles and Mildred Simmons, son – Michael Houskeeper, and her granddaughter – Alexis Rasmussen.
Carol wishes to spend eternity among the waves of the Green River, her ashes will be spread at a later date.
