Cheryl Jean Armao Bensing
It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Cheryl Jean Armao Bensing. Born to Anthony and Margaret (Lotz) Armao on July 23, 1947. Cheryl passed away quietly in her sleep on April 4, 2022 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Cheryl was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and lived an active life in 6 different states highlighted by her love of family, her passion for swimming, and her adoration of the great Elvis Presley. She is survived by her 3 children (Veronica “Vicki” Studstill, Richard “Guy” Bensing and Toni Johanson); 4 siblings (Nancy Razzano, Allan Armao, Jon Armao, and John Reber); and 6 grandchildren (Tiffany Lounsberry, Mary Studstill, Kyleigh Johanson, Christopher “Jaxson” Johanson, Kaitlyn Bensing and Richard “Phoenix” Bensing); along with 2 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard John Bensing; and her sister, Joyce Armao Eck. Celebrations of life will be held in Taylorsville, Utah at 1:00 PM on 5/14 at Crosspointe Clubhouse; as well as in Reading, PA on 6/11. A light lunch will be served at both.
