Darren Scott Holt, age 51, passed away Saturday, July 1 st , 2017 after a long battle with multiple health issues. Darren was born to Jack and Joanne Holt on November 28, 1965. Darren married Michele Cooley on October 24 th , 1986. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on that same date a year later. Together they raised 4 wonderful children, Chris (Tasha) Holt, Amber (Christopher) Elliott, Skyler Holt and Dylan Holt. Darren was blessed with 7 grandkids, Kenzilynn, Corbin, Bostyn, Hayleigh, Hannah, Mary and Ryken.
Darren had many people that loved and cared for him, his parents Jack and Joanne, his parents in law Grant and Sandra, his brother David, and sisters Dani, Dawn and Darci. He had the wonderful extended Cooley family that cared for him, other extended family and many friends. Darren loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Darren loved sports and was a big Saints fan. He loved playing the drums, his Harley motorcycle and the music group KISS. Many will remember Darren’s smile and sense of humor and will be missed terribly.
Darren is survived by his wife Michele, his Mother Joanne, His mother and father in law Grant and Sandra, his kids and grandkids, extended family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his Father Jack and Sister Darci. A celebration of life will take place Friday July 14 th from 12-1 at the LDS Meadow ward house 1955 W 400 N. with condolences and visiting afterward until 2 PM. For those unable to make the services there will be a Wake at Riverside Park 1490 W, 600 N. from 4-9 East Pavillion. Darren didn’t want anyone to mourn his deathbut celebrate his life.
