Dennis Everett Nash, age 65, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2017 at Heritage Park Nursing Home after a battle with dementia. He was born August 15th, 1951 to Charles Helen Davis and Theodore Nash in sunny Compton California. He graduated from Compton High and went on to pursue a masters in drafting and Architecture. The characteristic he possessed of helping all those around him, also lead to his service for our country in Vietnam as an honorable soldier. He met the love of his life, Mary J Nash, in Salt Lake City UT. and never looked back until his last breath. They intertwined their love and created eternal links carried on by their abundant legacy. Family, and all that fit that title by blood or otherwise, were a precious commodity to Dennis. His love for life, soulful music, grandchildren, baseball, boxing, and fishing was only a part of what inspired his contagious and ample smile. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Mary Nash, their children, Latonya Nash, Christina and Jamal Averett, Amy and Gary Dansby, Elvis and Maryam Mendez, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and his sister Denise and brother-in-law Greg Smotherman, and countless other loved ones. We welcome you to join us in paying tribute to an unparalleled man on Saturday, October 14th at Kramer Family Funeral Home, 2500 S Decker Lake Blvd. #1, West Valley City, UT, from 12-2PM to reminisce, grieve, and offer support to each other.
