Derel Ralph Smith June 4th 1959 – June 8th 2020

Derel Ralph Smith Father of two, passed away peacefully June 8th 2020 at his family house in Paragonah Utah. Born in Beaver Utah to Joseph Dale and Joelene Smith. He was the oldest of four children. Derel Spent most of his life between Southern Utah and Salt Lake City Utah with a brief time in Apache Junction, Arizona. He made an impact on everyone that he crossed paths with. Derel met Pamela Jean Bailey in 1985 and he spent the next 24 years building a family with her. Derel was an electrician by trade with a passion for hunting, fishing, camping and anything outdoors. He had a great knowledge in just about every aspect of life. His oldest son Lance, describes him as a genius, “There wasn’t anything my old man couldn’t accomplish and or fix. He was a great example of what a Dad truly is and taught me everything I know about being a man.” His youngest son Bryce, describes him as strong and smart. “In a lot of ways he was my Superman. I am proud to have had you as an example. I hope to be half the man, spouse, and father you were. The men we are is a huge reflection of the amazing Dad we had growing up.” Survived by his children, Lance Lee Bailey (Spring Bailey) and Bryce Dale Smith (Sara Smith). Siblings Russell Scot Smith, Jeffery Dale Smith, Pamela Jo Mills (Darrell Mills). Proceeded in death by his parents Joseph Dale and Joelene Smith, Sister in law Linda Kaye, and the love of his life Pamela Jean Bailey. Derel will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
