Duane Hawks

Duane Henry Hawks 9-20-1949 – 11-30-2020 

Our dear sweet brother earned his wings on 11-30-2020, and is now free of pain. Duane was born to Claude Harris Hawks and Verma Alvira Rose. 

At the age of seven Duane moved to U.S.D.C. Duane was a great artist, especially when it came to Christmas. He always drew on his chalk board, a tree with lights, ornaments and a star on the top, even the outlet on the wall to plug in the lights. 

Duane was a master when it came to legos. He could build buildings that had doors, windows, stairs and a roof with a chimney. - Duane was a perfectionist when is came to writing words his letters had to be all the same size and in a straight line. 

Duane Also participated in the special Olympics. Duane is survived by his sister baby Melody (as Duane called her) and Julie Jacobson, brother Vaughn and Abby Hawks, and a host of family members. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
