Ema Lea T. Taylor

West Valley City, UT. On August 2, 2017 our Beloved mother, grandmother and great
grandmother gained her wings and flew to the angels after a brief fight with Pancreatic Cancer.
Ema Lea T. Taylor age 73 was born on January 22, 1944 in Delta, UT to Aroet F. Taylor and
Reva Jane Spendlove Taylor.
On April 4, 1963 she married Robert Dean Taylor in the Manti Temple. They had 6 children.
Although they later divorced they remained close.
She began her career late in life making her children very proud by returning to college, making
the Dean’s list and earning her degree in Transportation Management. She was also President of
the Club associated with Transportation Management during her time at school. She worked for
25 years in her chosen field, most of them as the Import Supervisor for Norman G. Jensen, Inc.
until her retirement.
She is survived by 5 children, Rob (Darren) Taylor, Darran (Darci) Taylor, Cindie (Joe) Gee,
Cherie (John) Redd, Danielle (Carlos) Gavira, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her
sister Beatrice Schena.
She was preceded in death by her youngest child, Ryan Dean Taylor, Her Parents Aroet and
Reva Jane Spendlove Taylor, her brothers Parry Taylor, Forrest Taylor, Darrell Taylor and Floyd
Taylor
Her family would like to add a special Thank You to the fabulous team at Brighton Hospice for
their amazing assistance with the end of life care for our Mother. Her aides Whitney, Ashley,
Millie and others, her nurse Ashley and a special thanks to Karla who gave her much solace
during such a difficult time. In addition, we want to say Thank You to all those who visited and
helped keep her spirits up.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00 am on August 12, 2017 at the LDS meetinghouse
4505 S. Brians Way, West Valley City, UT 84119 Please come prepared to share your memories
of her, if you have copies of pictures to donate to a Memory Book please bring them too.
