Faitele Tunufai Tui Mo’unga, 69, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 3, 2018. Faitele was born May 3, 1948 in Ta’anea Vava’u, Tonga to Sione Tunufa’i Tui and Sesika Fusi Sateki.
She loved to cook and enjoyed the years she spent working in the kitchen at the MTC and BYU.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved attending the temple.
Family was the most important thing to Faitele. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and 5 of her siblings: Tevita Tui, Losa Kau, Lenisiloti Tui, Mele Faka’ilonga Tui, and Veisinia Vatuve’i.
She is survived by her husband Halafihi Mo’unga, her children: Ana Vanisi, Salesi (Seini) Vanisi, Suesa Vanisi, Penelope (Siua) Maka, Pili (Kat) Mo’unga, Fololini (Tikoni) Manupuna, Tunufa’i (Cathleena) Mo’unga, Akata (Fuapau) Lanivia, Halamehi (Jordan) Gibbons, Loviana (Tapenisi) Mo’unga, 33 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by her younger brother, Sivihiva Tui.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Bountiful 6th Tongan Ward Building, 1509 W. 1500 S. Woods Cross, UT 84087.
The public viewing will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
