Hannah Ha'aheo Kaina Kamauoha

Hannah Ha'aheo Kaina Kamauoha, 73, of Laie, Hawaii returned to her Heavenly Father on March 5, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. She was living in Utah at the time of her passing. She was born into a well-respected family on December 22, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to her parents Samuel and Primrose Lowe who raised their children to love the Lord and His gospel and where Hannah remained steadfast and true to her LDS religion, her faith and her beliefs. Due to her father's military career she lived in various places. She was the oldest of four children and is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Warren Lowe. She is survived by her two siblings; a brother, Samuel Lowe of Nevada and a sister, Gwendolyn Lowe of California. 

Hannah gave birth to seven children; a stillborn daughter in 1963 named Leilani, Leina'ala Salanoa, (Chad), Lani Ete (Sama), Leah Fa'amoe (Sasi), Liana Ah Quin, Lee Sundell, and Lehua Hill (Francis). She loved and enjoyed spending her time with 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren from these unions. She was married to her second husband David Kamauoha, in 1988 and loved his two girls, Jennie and Keala, as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  

She graduated from Atwater High School in California where she reveled in being a girl of the 60's engaging in her favorite activities of music and dancing and doing the twist. She later attended BYU-Hawaii where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1998 in Social Work. Thereafter, she spent many years advocating for victims of domestic violence at a shelter in Honolulu as a tribute to her grandmother Makanoe. She was a very likeable person with so many lifelong friends. She carried love and respect for the only place she would have ever called home; the Hawaiian islands. No matter how many times she came to Utah she always returned home to live intermittently until her health began to fail in October 2017. Thank you for the lessons we all learned because we knew you. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 17 at the LDS chapel located at 5107 South 5600 West, Kearns, Utah. A public viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am.
