Jackie Lee Elsbury 1944 to 2016
Jackie Lee Elsbury, 71, passed away unexpectedly on 11/7/2016 of natural causes. He was a Son, a Brother, a Husband, a Father and a Grandfather and above all, a Great Man that will be missed by many.
Jack was born on December 5th, 1944, in Elko, Nevada to Robert and Evelyn Elsbury. He spent much of his childhood roaming the fields in a small town called Thistle, UT. He graduated from Lehi, High School in the class of 1961. From there he went on to marry Rhonda Sutherland and fathered two children. Tauna Ellis (Darrell) and Robyne Aalders. They eventually divorced. He then went on to marry Kim Elsbury where they shared over 20 years together. He and Kim became the father of four children. Julie Elsbury Hubbard, Cindy Elsbury Sandoval (Ernie), Mikey Boone (Scott) and J.J. Elsbury (Brianna). Later in life he went on to marry Vonda Clegg Elsbury and lived a happy life with her and her children for many years. Jack remained a good friend in every way to all of his loves and never failed to be by their side in every way possible.
Jack lived his life to the fullest in every way and never failed to bring happiness and smiles to every one he met. He truly lit up the room with his presence. He was lovingly known as a "Jack of all trades". He made his living managing many restaurants and businesses in his early life, as a well known musician with his beloved band Feverpitch, where they traveled to many places to entertain. He was worked as a licensed contractor during most of his adult life. His biggest passion was playing his guitar (minus one finger) where he inspired and entertained many over the years. He wrote many songs in dedication to people he loved. He also enjoyed cooking, reading, the outdoors and spending time with his family. He never failed to accomplish any task put before him with ease and perfection.
Jack had 17 grandchildren that he adored: Kodi, Ashlee, Angeljean, Keltsey, Sonny Joe, Rhandi, Rusti, Rikki, Tyler, Alexis, Bobby, Joey, Richie, Ozzy, Joshua, Justin and the baby of them all, Evelyn. He also had 13 great grandchildren.
He will be most remembered for his generosity and unconditional love that he showed to everyone who crossed his path.
Jack is survived by his former wife, Rhonda and former wife, Vonda, his 6 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one sister, Anita Griner.
Jackie was proceeded in death by both parents, former wife, Kim, 3 brothers, Robert Elsbury, Frank "Butch" Elsbury, David Seeley, 3 sisters, Carol Saracino, Dotty Rush, Jan Morgan. Jack was the baby of eight. Nephew, Todd Elsbury, and most recently Justin Boone, his grandson. As well as countless others that are resting peacefully with him now.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November, 19th and 12:00 Noon at the Copper Hills Golf Club, 8975 West 2600 South, Magna, UT. Please join us for conversation and many happy memories of this great man. Food will be provided.
