On Friday, June 1, 2018, our father/grandfather passed away from a long-term battle with cancer.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Jarvis was born on August 10, 1942 to Platt Bennett Greene and Fern (Whitney) Greene.  He grew up in Weston, Idaho and was the 5th child of 11 siblings.  Jarvis loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart.  Jarvis worked hard for his family. He loved being a farmer more than any job he had.  He took pride in building his own business servicing fire extinguishers in the Salt Lake Valley.  He also loved to sing and would always bring his karaoke machine to family parties so everyone could be involved.  Early in his life he sang with a group and performed in the Idaho area. He served a mission in The Great Lakes Mission for the LDS church.

Jarvis will be lovingly remembered by his second wife, Cathie Hansen and children Trevor, Celeste, Jeannette, Jarvis, Jonathan, Mike (Kristin), Cathleen, Jeff (Lori), Dean, Ivy (Jeremy), and Jake Rubio.  He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, Rayola (Ruel), Wanda (Jim), Janet, Patsy (Sheldon), Barbara (Steve), Carma, Ross, and Denton (Helen). He had 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grand children who adored him as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and two brothers, Hal and Lyle Greene.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 5th from 6-9 pm at the Kramer Family Funeral Home, located at 2500 S. Decker Lake Boulevard, SLC, Utah.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 6th at 11 am at the LDS chapel located at 97 W. 7500 S. in Midvale, Utah.
