Jody Lynn Conn

Age 45 of Erda, Utah passed away peacefully Wednesday January 24th at Huntsman Cancer Institute surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born in Grand Junction, Colorado January 3rd, 1973 to parents Bob and Gail Power. Jody always had a love for animals. As a child she enjoyed showing dogs with her Mom and Dad. Her first job at the age of 13 was delivering newspapers on her Pinto Horse, Dolly. Some of her fondest memories were spending time with her grandparents on the family ranch in Collbran, Colorado. Jody started her adult working life as a Code Enforcement Officer for Rangely Police Department.  After moving to Grand Junction in 1995 she began working at Laidlaw as a Contract Clerk. In 1999 she chose to transition to a more important career and became the CEO of Household Management and spent her time raising her beautiful children. In 2016 Jody increased this role and began providing care for her grandson. The rewards she received from this job were immeasurable. Jody is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Derek Conn, her Mother Gail Power, Father Bob Power, Sister Brandi (Richard) Power, Brother Aaron (Heidi) Power, three children Brittany (Diego) Astorga, Shane Conn, and Nicholas Conn and her grandchildren Oliver and Harvie Astorga, Skylar Dick and Gabriel Misa. Those who await her coming include her daughter Kursten Nicole Conn, Mother and Father in-law Sue Smith, Bill Conn and Grandparents Scott and Betty Walk and a host of beloveds gone ahead. Jody’s celebration of life will be Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at The Coulter House 175 UT-138, Stansbury Park, Utah 84074 at 2:00pm.
