Jose Estrada

Joe was born July 13, 1960 in Murray, Utah to Nicolas and Victoria Estrada. Nicolas passed away in 1966. Victoria remarried Jose Montoya in 1968.

Joe ran a small business from his home in Murray. He was one of the last structural steel engineer draftsmen that still did all his work by hand, not using the CAD system. He was very proud of his work. He enjoyed showing off his blueprints and driving around watching the progress of his work as it was erected.

Joe’s love of horses earned him the nickname “cowboy”. He was always inviting someone’s child, grandchild, niece or nephew to come ride his horse, Lucky. Lucky was one of Joe’s very best friends. Watching Joe ride his horse was absolutely breathtaking. He loved teaching how gentle these giants could be. With safety in mind he always made sure to teach how powerful a horse could be as well.

Joe was always smiling! He always had a joke to tell or a funny story to share. He had many friends and will be greatly missed and thought of often.

Joe was proceeded in death by his father Nicolas, mother Victoria, brother Marciano and son in law Kelly.

Joe is survived by his pride and joy, his only child, his daughter Angel (Deric) Crow. 4 grandkids Anthony (Natalia), Kelsey (Andrew), Lillie and Jaycee. 2 great-grandkids James and Rhyiet. Father (step-father) Jose Montoya. Brothers, Carlos (Diana), Billy (Angie), Robert (Kristy) and Andy. Sisters, Elvira (Pat), Victoria, Isabel (Dave), Cindy (Bret) and sister in law Daniele (Curtis) and many nieces, nephews, great-neices and nephews. A large group of friends and work associates.
