LaVerl Christensen Young

LaVerl passed away at his home in Wallsburg, Utah on Aug 5th, 2019.

LaVerl was born June 8th 1925 in Wallsburg, Utah to Ralph and Florence Young. LaVerl was raised in Wallsburg where he helped his father herd sheep. He worked at Spencer’s Auto in Heber City as a mechanic and he also painted vehicle there. Later he went to BYU and received his welding certificate. His hobbies were woodworking, singing, and working on cars. LaVerl was a hard worker and good-natured. He would do anything for anyone and ask nothing in return.

LaVerl met his soul mate, Delta Ivie, in 1955. They were sealed in Provo Temple September 7th, 2012. LaVerl loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and his great grandchildren,

LaVerl is survived by his son, Gary Young, Daughter Cindy Young Bustamante, grandchildren, Shanan Seiter and Shauntel Seiter, great grandchildren Terrance, Carlos, Ryan, Jocelyn, Gabriel, Diego, Valencia, Lillian and Aviana. Sisters Joyce Larsen and Carol Haggerly. He is preceded in death by his wife, Delta Young, daughter LaPrial Young, parents Ralph and Florence Young. Sister Naomi Florence Rackham, brothers Wendell Young, Jack Young, James Young, Boyce Young.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 22nd at 11:00 am at the Wallsburg LDS Church, 495 W Main Canyon Road. Viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 9:00 or 10:30 am. Burial at the Wallsburg Cemetery.
