“A Life Remembered”
Our dear mother returned home to her heavenly father and into the arms of the love of her life, Herbert Roy Stewart on March 30th 2021. This September, Mom & Dad would have been married for 56 years.
Mom was the kindest, most generous woman you would ever meet in your life. She had a light that would brighten up any room she entered. She would always have a hello for everyone she would meet with a big, big smile. A month ago, she became a member of the resident committee as “Resident Counsel Emeritus” at Cottonwood Creek Senior Living Facility. She would greet you and show you around the facility, introducing you to everyone that would walk by. She was so tickled about it. It was pretty impressive that mom knew every resident and staff by name. Mom really enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing and going out to Wendover—those were a few of her favorite things.
Mom was adopted by John Strait and Audrey Crisman Strait in 1954 in Vinton, Iowa and moved to Salt Lake City. She was reunited with her biological sisters, Shirley Moser and Patsy Teggatz as well as her biological brothers, Richard Farmer and John Ryan after 47 years. She also had five other siblings; Bob, Jean, Yolanda, Wesley and also her adopted bother, Donny.
Mom is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Stewart Medina (Matthew); Janet Stewart Flores (Santiago) and Jill Stewart Hovat (John.) She also has 6 grandchildren; Nichole, Brandy, Misty, Ty, Conner and Madison as well as 4 great grandchildren, Bella, Rainy, Daisy and Avery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Murray Mortuary April 10, 2021 from 1-3pm. We would like to invite anyone who would like
to speak about or share memories of our dear mother can do so at that time.
“Do not think of me as gone, even though I am out of sight, remember that I am with you each morning, noon and night.”
