Mark Wayne Lucas lost his battle with cancer July 11th, 2016. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Mark was born July 13th, 1961 to Connie J. Howe and Wayne M. Lucas in Ogden, Utah.Mark graduated from Bonneville High in 1979 and resided in Riverdale, Utah. He was a truck driver and enjoyed driving across the country and seeing the views. He also enjoyed skiing and hiking. His favorite time spent was launching rockets, going on vacation, and to the movies with his grandsons. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and strum away on his guitar. Mark was always helpful, had a goofy sense of humor, and will be missed by all who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his father and one brother. He is survived by his mother Connie MacDonald of San Jose, California; two brothers Mike (Jay’ne) Lucas of South Weber and Richard Lucas of Layton; three sisters Darcee Lucas of South Kona, Hawaii; JoVonna (Christopher) Howes of Norfolk, England; and Julia Jones of San Jose, California; daughter Rochelle (Brian) King of Syracuse; two grandsons Weston and Tyler King. Several step brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews whom he loved. A viewing will be held Sunday July 17, 2016 at the Bluff Ridge Ward 569 W 2700 S, Syracuse from 6:30-8:30pm. Graveside services will be held Monday July 18th, 2016 at 11:00am at the Ogden City Cemetery 1875 Monroe Blvd. Ogden.
