It is with great sadness that the family of Michael (Mike) Lowery, announces his passing on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the age of 81 years. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Gertrude (Trudy), and his children, Debbie (Steve) Moore, Amy (Chuck) Andrade, Carolyn (Jeff) Shannon, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mike was a devoted spouse and father.
Mike was born February 12, 1937, the son of the late Frank and Caroline Lowery, and is preceded in death by his sisters Patricia and Virginia.
Mike had a successful career in the profession of Recovery Auditing, and was a legend in the industry. He was known as a pioneer, innovator, and leader.
He revolutionized the way the business operated through technology, and the way he worked with people. He was generous and risked his own financial stability to improve the lives of those who worked for him. He empowered women in an industry at a time when their contributions went unrecognized. Mike’s work has had a lasting influence on the industry. He was an inspiration, and impacted the lives of many people who will be forever grateful.
His legacy is one of intellect, innovation, compassion, generosity, and humor, and will be passed on to future generations. We are all were better off for having known him.
At Mike's request, there will be no memorial service. We will carry his memory in our hearts.
