Randall “Randy” Kent Powell 1968 – 2023
Gone Fishing!
Randy Powell, beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pop Pop passed away peacefully at the age of 54 on February 3, 2023. Randy was born to Alford Kent and Sherry Ann Powell on October 23, 1968. He is survived by his loving parents, KP and Sherry, his amazing wife, Kimberly, daughters Nicole and Courtney Megan, granddaughters Kennedy and Madison, brothers, Cory (Kelly), and Nick (Amy), nephews Colby (Christine), Kolbe, Garrett and Lance, nieces Averie, Emma and Maggie, and one incredibly spoiled tortoise, Oliver.
Randy was a career automobile dealer who loved fishing, exploring the outdoors, gardening, cooking, football and any card game you can think of. He was an avid Chargers fan and the heart & soul of every Super Bowl Party. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, football and baseball growing up, but his true passion was his family. Randy, being the first born, was a protector of his brothers. He was a fiercely loyal friend who always found the time to listen with his heart and to encourage you to never give up. Despite his years of health struggles, Randy always stayed positive. His joy for life was contagious and brought a smile to everyone’s face.
We’d love to have you join us in a Celebration of Life on February 23, 2023, at Lone Peak Indoor Pavilion (10140 S. 700 E., Sandy, UT) between 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Our deepest gratitude to Rocky Mountain Care Willow Springs in Tooele, UT, and the team members who cared for him during his last days, as well as the medical staff at both IMC and University Hospital. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Randy’s name to the National Kidney Foundation.
