Richard Justus Knibb

Richard Justus Knibb, age 66, died peacefully on December 12th, 2021 at his home in Magna, UT after a short but powerfully fought battle with cancer.

Richard, Rich, Rick, RJ, brother, dad, uncle, grandpa, boss. A man of many names, born on December 8th, 1955 to Joan (Soutiea) and Richard Knibb. Richard is survived by his wife, Lisa, children, Jamie (Chris), Jen (Todd), Charles, Andrew, Michael, 7 grandchildren, and siblings Jolaine, Jolynne, Scott, and Michael.

Before gaining his wings, Richard loved to play guitar, fish, host fish fry dinners, build anything from a computer to an A/V unit, from a deck to a poolside entertainment cart, fix anything that was broken, and print almost anything with his 3D printer. He had a band named Southern Justus, rode motorcycles, and camped at Swiss Lake. A master at his craft, with almost two decades of a successful career at Alpha Packaging, he amassed an impressive tool collection that would rival any mechanical engineer's dream shop prior to his recent retirement.

A memorial service will be held at Kramer Family Funeral Home, 2500 S Decker Lake Blvd., Salt Lake City, UT 84119 on Friday, January 14th, 2022 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that you make a donation in Richard’s name to the American Cancer Society.
