Terrence Charles Thomas Wherlock
With great sadness, the wife and children of Terry Wherlock announce his passing on July 22, 2019.
Terry was born in England where he was educated and began his career in the recording tape industry and married his wife, Edna.
Terry moved, with his wife and young children in 1966, to become a Vice-President of Manufacturing at RCA in Indianapolis. He went on to work at Capitol in Connecticut, EMI in England, and then moved to California in 1974, where he worked at Intermagnetics and eventually founded CM Magnetics with his partner and good friend, Carlos Maciel. Terry and Edna retired in Palm Springs and moved most recently to Utah in 2017 to be near their son.
Terry and Edna were Berkshire and Buckinghamshire champion ballroom dancers in England, travelled all over the world throughout their marriage, and especially enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling the country in their RV. One of Terry’s most enjoyable moments was catching a marlin weighing 437lbs in Kona, Hawaii and winning the tournament.
Terry is survived by Edna and his children, Karen and Andrew Wherlock and grandchildren David and Jeremy Knight.
