TINGEY, Danilynn Louise

The Tingey family is sad to announce that Danilynn Louise Tingey passed away at 1:53 AM on November 29, 2022. Danilynn was born January 5, 1963 in Fort Huachuca, Arizona to Richard Lee Tingey and Ella Louise Tingey. She attended Box Elder High School and was a devout Latter Day Saint. As a teenager, she earned the rank of Life in the Boy Scouts. She pursued various careers involving mechanics, trucking, and landscaping. Her passions involved sewing, entertainment, and handicrafts.  

In 2013, she married Sophia Hawes, whom she met while performing the Vagina Monologues. She loved driving other the road and doing intermodal deliveries with her son Josh. Her most recent enjoyments included playing video games and spending time with family.

She is preceded by her mother and her father; her siblings Richard William Tingey, Joseph Henry Tingey, and Lila Dawn Tingey; and her son Joshua Onus Tingey. She is survived by her wife: Sophia Jean Hawes-Tingey; her children: Jeremy Daniel Tingey, Bridgette A Christensen, Jerred Tingey; grandchildren: Alex and Avery Christensen, Teegan and Taylie Tingey; and siblings: Diane Tingey, Leland Tingey, and Sean Tingey. 

A Celebration of Life in Honor of Danilynn Tingey will be held on December 17, 2022 at 2 PM at South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society, 6876 S. Highland Drive, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121, with a reception following.
