Yvonne Davenport Gibson, age 78 passed away peacefully Saturday, January 19, 2019 from Dementia.
Von was born in Ontario, OR in 1940 to Henry and Blanche Davenport and was raised in Vale, Oregon and Caldwell, Idaho. She enjoyed many sports and was a cheerleader.
After graduation, Von married Ross H. Gibson Sr. in 1959. They moved to the Roy area where they raised their four children. She loved surrounding herself with her family and friends. She also loved working at Ogden Regional as a ward clerk in the Family Birth Place.
She was the most selfless person you will ever meet. She lived her life for her children, grand and great grandchildren. She had the cutest personality and loved to joke around. She was well known for always giving a kind word. She will be greatly missed by us all!!
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Sandra Gardner and son Ricky.
She has one living sibling, Roger Davenport and three children Ross H. Gibson Jr., Traci (Phil) Douglass, Randall ( Joy) Gibson, ten Grandchildren and ten great Grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday January 26th located at 5000 South 5900 West Hooper 2nd Ward Church house. An open house celebration will be held from 2 pm to 3:30 p.m. At 3:30 there will be a sharing of memories of Yvonne followed by a balloon release at 4:30.
