Deh Meh

 Deh Meh, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on October 6, 2020.  She was born on January 1, 1969 to Ree Meh and Saw Reh in Shadaw Township, KayahState, Burma. She married Tu Reh, and together they had two sons, Hta Reh and Phrei Reh and a daughter who died as a baby.  They fled to Karenni Refugee Camp 1 in Thailand and lived there for 10 years.  In September 2010 they came to the United States and settled in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Deh Meh became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in March 2011 and was an active member of the Columbus Branch.  She became a United States Citizen in September 2017.  At the time of her death, Deh Meh was employed at Smithfield Foods.  Deh Meh was an excellent cook and hostess.  She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and worked tirelessly to ensure they had everything they needed.  Most of all, Deh Meh was a happy, very loving and generous soul who made everyone feel welcome in her home. She will be greatly missed.  

 

Deh Meh is survived by her parents, Ree Meh and Saw Reh, her husband, Tu Reh, her sons Hta Reh and Phrei Reh, her daughter-in-law Ni Lar Than, and her grandchildren Hta Li, Avery Rose Than, Sophia Than, and Adam Hta.

 

A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Columbus Branch, 2280 South 300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10.  Interment will be at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
