Jan C. Wilberg
Jan C. Wilberg, 64, of Provo passed away Saturday, October 10 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo from complications of pancreatitis in the loving arms of his sisters. He was born 24 April 1956 in American Fork, Utah to Dexter Lyle Wilberg and Beth (Gurr) Wilberg. Jan was a master plumber and owner of JC Plumbing. His plumbing expertise was known throughout the Greater Provo area. Jan graduated from Orem High and lived his entire life in Utah County.
Jan was married to Leslye Isakson and Janice Peterson Kavachavich. He also had a beautiful relationship with Jill Hodgkinson for many years, but they have since gone separate ways. He was influential in the lives of his daughter Jamie, (Ronald), and stepdaughters Chelsea and Sunshine, (John). Jan is survived by his siblings: Pat Wilberg Batley and Elaine Wilberg Carter of Orem, UT, Kim L (Diana) Wilberg of Orange, VA, and Michael (Kim) Wilberg of Shelley, ID and numerous grandkids and great grandkids, nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Beth Wilberg and stepmother, Geniel Wilberg.
As witnessed by his entire family, Jan had a big heart and was always willing to help someone in need. If he were able to do so, he would be the first to help you out. His spare time would find him bike riding, visiting with friends, laughing and sharing a cold drink. In his mind, heaven was sitting in a boat at Lake Powell with a fishing pole in one hand and a cold beer in the other. Jan was a jokester and loved spending time (and giving hugs) to his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all.
An informal memorial service will be held Saturday, October 17 at the Springville Rotary Park from 2-4 PM. The family invites all to come and share remembrances and memories of Jan’s life.
