Darwin LaMar Ridd On December 26, 2020, Darwin LaMar Ridd passed away from a stroke, a complication of Covid 19. He was born on July 23, 1952 to LaMar and Gwen Ridd, the 3rd of five children. He grew up in South Salt Lake and Fort Union Utah. As a teenager, he was a competition diver, skier, and Gelande jumper, winning many awards. As an adult he was an accomplished aviator, working as a Corporate pilot for about 3 decades. He was the father of five children, one of whom proceeded him in death. Darwin had an outgoing personality, was a big tease, and had a great smile and laugh. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had a big heart and loved Heavenly Father, the Savior, his family, and his fellow men. He is survived by four of his children, Dawn, Amanda, Nicholas, and Michael, his father LaMar Ridd, his sister Kathy Wittke (Don), brother Glade Ridd (Kami), and sisters-in-law DeAnn and Brande. He was preceded in death by his mother Gwen, his brothers Blaine, and Kelly, and his son Jeramy.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at the Chapel at 235 E. Sego Lily Dr. (9800 S.) Sandy, Utah. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a limited number will be allowed to attend, by invitation, and masks are required. Others are invited to view the proceedings via zoom, using the following link:
