Dee Allen Johnson

Dee Allen Johnson, a beloved father, brother, friend, and skilled carpenter, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2023, at the age of 65. Dee was born on September 9, 1957, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Denton and Doris Johnson. He grew up in Georgetown, Idaho and Bountiful, Utah, along with his five brothers and one sister. Dee married Jan Osborn in 1982 and had 3 children, Danyel, Casey and Cody during their marriage.

 Dee had a zest for life and a deep appreciation for the outdoors – he loved to camp, fish, and hunt pheasants. Dee loved dogs and had a canine companion most of his life. He loved classic rock and made a game of recognizing band names with his kids. He was an avid dart player and spent many joyful hours competing with friends.

 Dee had a heart of gold and always had a smile on his face, he was known for his lighthearted personality and his ability to make those around him laugh while always valuing the simpler things in life.

 Dee was a dedicated and skilled carpenter who generously shared his time and talents to help family and friends with various building projects. He was always willing to lend a hand and worked tirelessly to ensure that each project was completed to the best of his ability. Dee’s dedication and attention to detail were evident in every project he worked on. Dee was very resourceful and found ways to fix almost anything or to make tasks easier and more efficient.

Dee was preceded in death by his parents, Denton and Doris Johnson, and two brothers, Brad and Darin. He is survived by his three children, Danyel (Jon) Ward, Casey (Angel) Johnson, and Cody Johnson, as well as his siblings Dale (Charlene) Johnson, ReNae Ellis, Vaun (LeAnn) Johnson, and Carl Johnson.

 Dee’s passing is a great loss to his family, friends, and the community he lived in. His infectious laughter, easy-going nature, kind-hearted spirit, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed. His legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the homes he helped build and renovate. Dee will always be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest and had a positive impact on everyone he met.
