Frederick Travis Curtis
Frederick Travis Curtis "Travis," Born May 31, 1968, died suddenly on Dec 1, 2022, after a valiant fight with MS. Travis was known for his excellent people skills as he mentored many with his vast knowledge of music and mechanics. He taught countless people how to play guitar and rebuild engines and compressors; his house was never without several Ford trucks from the 70s in a constant rotation of restoration, not to mention his coveted Grand Torino. No matter how the MS tried to take him down, he still got the better of the fight with this devastating disease; he was always on the go, even when he was not able to walk anymore, you could see him working on engines, doing yard work and everything else from his wheelchair. Trav had a constant revolving door of people stopping by to chat and catch up on life; he was a true friend and gifted conversationalist. Everyone loved him, and even though he had that difficult Travis way with you, he loved everyone no matter what. Travis was a talented and accomplished musician and mesmerized many with his unique style, voice, and lyrics.
Travis is survived by his parents, Frederick Hopewell Curtis (Father) and Marline Margaret McManigal (Mother), Holly Curtis (Sister) and Kim Curtis (Sister), Dustin Curtis (Brother), and countless nieces and nephews. Special mention to his close friends, the Gardner family, especially Rhonda, who was his closest confidant and friend, and a big hug to all his loving neighbors who always ensured Travis was fed and looked out for.
Travis's wishes were to be cremated and given back to the universe; a celebration of life to honor Travis will be announced and held at a future date.
